El Pasado 31 de Diciembre del 2010 se realizo la ceremonia conocida como ‘’Letra del Año” en la casa templo situada en 8990 Kauffman South Gate California, donde asistió un connotado números de sacerdotes de Ifa, Iyalorishas, Babalorishas y personas iniciadas en la religión Yoruba, se propiciaron ofrendas a mas de 25 posiciones y deidades, El sacerdote que atefó dicha letra fue el más pequeño de los presentes con apenas 3 días de haber salido del cuarto sagrado de IFA.

Es una de las deidades mayores del panteón Yoruba, es el dueño de todo lo blanco, la pureza y todas las cabezas pues a el Olodumare le encargo la construcción de las cabezas, su espiritualidad vive en las cimas de las montañas y lomas también en las cuevas, que tienes varios caminos masculinos y femeninos, sus collares varían en dependencia del camino pero predomina el color blanco. Su día es el 24 de septiembre.
Deidad acompañante: Oshún.
Es una deidad femenina espiritualmente madre de los ríos, representa la lucha de la vida, es la diosa del amor, dueña de la dulzura, fertilidad, alegría, oro y todo lo femenino, fue la primera deidad femenina en bajar a la tierra, trajo la prosperidad, se sincretiza con la virgen de la caridad del cobre en Cuba y la Virgen de Guadalupe en México. Sus colores favoritos son el ámbar, el amarillo y el coral. Sus collares varían en dependencia de los caminos. Su día es el 12 de septiembre.
OBRAS
Hay que rogarle a Olofin con una Igba (vasija) con leche, Orí (shea butter or cocoa butter), efún (cascarrilla) y 2 velas blancas.
Limpiarse con un pollo propiciándole ofrenda al Eshu de la basura.
Se aconseja rogarse la cabeza con 2 palomas blancas.
Se le debe hacer ofrenda a Ogún con una paloma en la puerta de entrada de la casa.
Ebó del Año: 1 Gallo para Eleguáa, 1 Jicotea (Tortuga) y 2 Codornices para Shangó, 1 Paloma para Ogún, Epóo (aceite de palma), Atare (pimienta de guinea), miel, Aguardiente, telas de colores, Tierra de la puerta de la casa, Cascarrilla.

CONSEJOS
Para este año se recomienda reflexionar y analizar errores cometidos en el pasado, ser organizado en todos los aspectos de la vida cotidiana, hay que hacer énfasis e incentivar el respeto a los mayores, es un año donde se aconseja a todas las familias trabajar en el plano afectivo para evitar las separaciones entre estas, las personas deben evitar caer en faltas de respetos con las personas mayores de edad tanto familiares como religiosas, se debe evitar caer el vicio del alcohol y todo tipo de estupefacientes para no degradarnos personal y socialmente, se recomienda vestir de blanco lo más posible, evitar caer en ilegalidades de todo tipo para no ser castigados por las leyes, a toda aquellas personas que tengan situaciones legales deben evitar vestirse con ropas de rayas, las parejas y los matrimonios deben ser flexibles en sus relaciones para evitar la separación ya que es un año astralmente de separaciones, a las mujeres se le recomienda no interferir o inmiscuirse en negocios de hombres los cuales no tengan un total conocimiento y le puedan ocasionar problemas por lo que relata la historia del Gallo y la Gallina en este signo. Evitar bromas de mal gusto y el exceso de confianza en el trato interpersonal.
Se recomienda cuidarse la vista por lo que es favorable chequearse esta para evitar los trastornos visuales, hay que cuidarse las vías respiratorias ya que en este signo habla de posibles problemas con los pulmones y los bronquios, se debe evitar fumar. En el aspecto económico será un año donde la economía marchara de manera lenta pero irá incrementando de manera gradual, es importante hacer las ofrendas pertinentes para que astralmente con la ayuda de las deidades el incremento económico sea seguro, se recomienda ofrendar 2 gallos blancos a Olokun para la estabilidad económica, se recomienda ofrendar 3 pollos: uno a Eshu-Elegba, uno a la puerta de entrada a la casa y el otro a la esquina. También es recomendable hacer Ebó con 3 macaos para evitar la pérdida de la casa.
Se recomienda a la población y a todas las autoridades tomar las medidas pertinentes para estar preparados para la actividad sísmica que seguirá golpeando el planeta, dicha actividad sísmica repercutirá en la generación de maremotos y penetraciones del mar. En cuanto a las temperaturas serán bien extremadas el frío será intenso y el calor llegara a cifras record en muchos puntos del planeta, hay que tomar todas las medidas para evitar incendios forestales. Mantener limpias las alcantarillas y los sistemas de drenajes.
En el año se verán muchas divisiones internas en los partidos políticos más importantes tanto el republicano como el demócrata, se intentara muchas veces tratar de empañar el trabajo del presidente y crearle situaciones las cuales sean para desprestigiar su imagen política.
A la población en general y las personas que tienen fe en esta religión es aconsejable recibir los guerreros y a Orunmila, este es un año favorable para recibir Olokun, A toda persona que por razones personales tengan que hacerse santo y tengan las condiciones para ello este es un año recomendable para hacerlo, se deben hacer ceremonias y rendirle tributo a la Ceiba, hay que acercarse mucho a Orunmila para tener una mejor orientación en todos los aspectos de la vida.
Patakin
La Cabeza estaba sola en La Plaza y tenía delante muchos cocos, con los cuales comerciaba. Llego Shango y La Cabeza le dijo que no podía cogerlos, a no ser que le remediara su situación, ya que ella solo podía hablar y que estaba aburrida y cansada de eso. Shangó le cogió los cocos y no le remedio nada y La Cabeza lo mando de paseo. Después llego Orunmila a La Plaza y vio los cocos, Se los pidió a La Cabeza y esta le dijo: Le entrego todos a cambio de que remedies mi situación. Orunmila acepto y le dijo: Tienes que hacer rogación con animales, viandas, 2 cocos y opolopó owó, darle de comer a La Cabeza coco durante los 16 días que durara esa situación. Así lo hizo La Cabeza y primero le fue saliendo el pecho, después los brazos y demás extremidades llegándose a completar al termino de los 16 días todo el cuerpo. Con los huesos de los animales se le formaron los huesos de los brazos, costillas, etc. Y con las viandas las partes de las viseras y partes blandas del cuerpo. Ya completa La Cabeza con su cuerpo, le quedo muy agradecida a Orunmila y le dijo: Ud. es mi padre, pues ha venido al mundo para gobernar pero era necesario esta operación para que todo fuera completo. Y La Cabeza sentencio: "Desde este instante Orunmila gobernara al mundo y todos tendrán que ir a sus pies".
El Concilio de Awoses que se reunieron para sacar estas predicciones de este año en curso abogamos y exhortamos la unificación de todos los religiosos de nuestra comunidad, Prospero Año y que las bendiciones de los Orishas estén con ustedes.

This past December 31, 2010 the ceremony known as the “Letra Del Ano” was realized in the home/temple situated at 8990 Kauffman South Gate, California. Many Ifa priests, Iyalorishas, Babalorishas and individuals which have been initiated in the Yoruba religion made offerings to more than 25 positions and deities. The priest that realized the scripture was the youngest Priest of Ifa of those present with only 3 days of initiation into the room of Ifa.

This deity has many paths both masculine and feminine, its necklaces vary depending on the path, but, the color white dominates. His day is September 24.

Oshun is a feminine deity; spiritually she is the mother of the river, she represents the fight for life and is the goddess of love. Oshun is the owner of sweetness, fertility, happiness, gold, and all that is feminine. Oshun was the first feminine deity to come down to earth and she brought with her prosperity. She is syncretized with the Virgin of the Caridad del Cobre in Cuba and the Virgin of Guadalupe in Mexico. Her favorite colors are amber, yellow and coral. Her necklace colors vary depending on the path. Her day is September 12.

For this year it is recommended that one reflect and analyze previous errors committed, and to be organized with all aspects in one’s life. Emphasis must be made insightfully with regards to respect for our elders whether they be blood relatives or religious elders. It is recommended for all families to work affectively with each other to avoid separations within. One should avoid all habit forming cycles in order not to degrade oneself either personally or socially. It is recommended to dress in white as much as possible. Avoid any illegal situations where one can be penalized by the laws, for those who have judicial problems/situations avoid dressing with stripes. Marriages and love relationships must be flexible with one another to avoid separation, since astronomically it is a year of separation. For women it is recommended to not interfere or become involved with male negotiations or businesses in which she is not fully informed or completely understands the subject matter at hand; due to the Pataki of The Gallo y la Gallina (The Rooster and the Hen) in this sign. Avoid heavy joking or phrases that may be misinterpreted within interpersonal relations.

This year we will experience internal divisions amongst the political parties including but not limited to republicans and democrats. There will be many attempts to question the President’s actions and decisions, in which situations may be generated to ruin the President’s political image.
It is recommended to the population and corresponding authorities to take pertinent measures and be prepared for seismic activities that will continue hit our planet. Such seismic activity will have repercussions and generate tsunamis. In regards to the weather, there will be extremes experienced; there will be intense cold temperatures and record highs for heat will be reached in many areas of the planet. All measures must be taken to avoid forest fires. Maintain gutters clean and drainage systems properly functioning.
To the general population and to the individuals who have faith in the religion it is advised to receive the Guerreros and Orunmila, this year it is also favorable to receive Olokun. It is recommended for all individuals who for personal reasons must crown saint and have the conditions available to do it, that they do so this year. Ceremonies should be done in which tribute is paid to the Ceiba. This year it is of crucial importance to become very close with Orunmila, in order to have a better orientation in all aspects of one’s life.
PATAKIN
The Head was on its own at the flea market and in front of it many coconuts with which it commerce. Shango came and the Head told him that he could not get the coconuts unless he remedied the situation, since the Head could only talk and it was bored and tired of doing so. Shango got the coconuts but did not remedy anything so the head told Shango to go for a walk. Afterwards, Orunmila came to the flea market and saw the coconuts. He asked the Head for the coconuts, and the head answered, I will give you all the coconuts with the condition that you remedy my situation and Orunmila agreed. Orunmila told the Head that it had to do rogation with animals, viands, 2 coconuts and opolopo owo, and feed the head for 16 days while the situation persisted. The Head did all which it was told, and first it developed a chest, then the arms and other extremities and by the end of the 16 days the entire body was formed. With the bones of the animals, the bones of the arms, ribs, ect were formed. With the viands the visceral and soft parts of the body were formed. Once the body was complete the Head was very grateful to Orunmila and told him, you are my father, and you have come to govern but this operation was necessary in order for all to be complete. The Head then sentenced "that from that moment on Orunmila would govern the world and all would have to go to his feet".
The council of Ifa Priests that came together to reveal such predictions for the year 2011 advocate and call for the union of all religious individuals within the community. May you have a prosperous year and may the blessings of all the deities be with you.
